Kloset Komparable ~ Paint Stroke Print Top

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Kloset Komparable partly because its been a long time since I’ve picked up a magazine and went shopping but all that is behind me now.  When I saw this Céline paint stroke print yop in the latest edition of Vogue magazine (the Kimye one), instantly I knew where to find the look for less.

Kontinue for a look for less version of the Céline paint stroke print top and thy the brand’s Creative Director doesn’t mind knockoffs.

Kiki ~ The Other Woman Film

Don’t you love it when you see a movie trailer and think, “ooh that looks good, I can’t wait to see it”?  That’s how I felt when I first saw the trailer for The Other Woman. I mean it stars funny girls Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann so you know you’re in for a good time. Before I could even rally up the crew,  Popsugar invited me to a girls night out for a screening of the film. WINNING.  Adding icing to the super yummy cake, the LEEEGENDARY Patricia Fields was also a part of the event. Any fashionista worth their weight in shoes know’s she’s the costume designer behind Sex and the City (and the reason why SJP grew to her style icon status). Pat styled the cast of The Other Woman and was on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

Kontinue for more on The Other Woman screening and the Q&A with Pat Fields.

New in the Kloset ~ The Ultimate Blouse

How cool is this piece? I just ordered it online and I can’t wait to get it in the kloset. It embodies exactly what I’m going for this summer- comfy, cool, effortless style.  I don’t even know how I stumbled upon this piece but I’m glad I did.  The website describes it as a blouse but that doesn’t quite do it justice.  It’s so much more than just a blouse. I love the wrap / draping effect and the high low cut. I have plans to wear it exactly as pictured as well as with a pencil skirt and sky high heels. Pairing it with jeans is a no brainier and of course as a layer over a body con dress. Yitadee. This piece is style made easy. Love that in the Kloset.

Have you added something new to your kloset that you are excited to style up?

in the Know ~ Roland Mouret for Banana Republic

Oh how I love a good designer partnership and look for less.  On the heels of the Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration, yet another one has just been announced- Roland Mouret for Banana Republic. Do you understand how great this is ? If Alexander Wang is the cool kid’s designer of choice, Roland Mouret dresses their more refined and sophisticated counter parts. He’s the go to guy for Hollywood starlets like Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Saldana, Halle Berry and countless others  including one of my biggest kloset krushes, Victoria Beckham (before she birthed her own equally svelte line). Mouret is a master of tailored sheath dresses that make women look long, lean and effortlessly polished.  His skills and designs matched with the classic Banana Republic is a match made in a heaven.
