Celebrate Sparkle ~ Day 3 Fashion Inspired by Sparkle Movie

by Kéla Walker

As soon as I saw this picture of Whitney Houston as Emma , I was immediately inspired to pull this dress from my kloset. It’s a keeper thats been in there for 8 years and just like Mrs. Houston, this dress is a show stopper.

The only other time I’ve worn this dress was on the red carpet covering the legendary Apollo Theatre’s annual gala.  Like most things in the Kloset, it’s as classy and elegant today as the day I bought it.  This is what timeless fashion and style is all about (know the difference).  The shimmer and tapestry of this dress fits right into the style and trend of the 60’s yet it’s still right on trend for today. And it doesn’t stop there, I ran away with the shimmer and sparkle theme carrying it through with the accessories.

A perfectly matched pump and handbag never hurt anyone.  The fox throw however, well that’s another story. I couldn’t help but add it to the look; a gift from my granny, the fox gives the look that ol’ school glamour with new age fierceness.
