*Recap* My Birthday Suit ~ Teacup Dress and Fascinator

by Kéla Walker

Monday, July 9th marked my 2012 birthday but with me being me, I got the celebration started early and hosted a “Fascinator Ladies Who Brunch”  event on Saturday with a few gal pals.  Everyone was asked to dress Fascinator Chic and wear their girliest dress and a fascinator head piece (think Royal wedding but my birthay)

I adore this dress I purchased a few months ago and could not think of a better occasion to wear it for. Its screams “Socialite/ Lady Who Brunches”.

Paired with this fascinator, I coincidentally got from a recent British event I covered,
it was perfect for my brunch.

Of course I was the only one to show up wearing a fascinator.

The only other person with a headpiece was my sister, Joslyn, who wore a scarf- 50’s style
which is a part of her every day style so it didn’t really count but KUTE, no less.
Hey, its my party brunch, I’ll be the lone fascinator rocker if I want to.

Nicole and I.
I’ve known this girl too long to say.  She’s one of my longest dearest friends. A true bestie!
(She also snapped ALL of these photos, minus the ones with her in them)

And this is what it looks like when you get gifts from her
Especially when 1 of them (yes, there were several ) is from Links London

Getting Sassy with Sass

I’ve gotten to know this woman very well over the past couple of years and we’ve grown super close.
Who knew you could gain new besties at this age but we are & this was her first time joining a Kela Birthday bash.

Brunch turned into a party.  LOVED IT

By the end of the party, I joined the masses and let the fascinator fall to the waist side.

Overall it was a FASCINATING Birthday.  I am truly a blessed lady!!!
