The Only Dress

by Kéla Walker

I’m still on quite the high from my Time Out New York Magazine feature, being deemed a style icon and all.  This mirror print dress is one of the 5 looks I styled for the shoot and the only dress included.  It didn’t make the cut for my 2 page spread but it is a part of  my online feature as one of the Most Stylish NYers.

It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for prints.  There are prints and patterns and then graphic prints like this one that make me go gaga. I love a good mirror print dress but there are several reason why I love this mirror print dress and included in in my fashion shoot with Time Out.   1. The print carries through from the front to the back and isn’t just on-sided like most print pieces these days.  As I mention in the Time Out NY article, I hate to be cheated on my print. It feels a little cheap and lacks the full pizazz that prints give.  2. I love the black along the sides in the waist of the mirror print dress.  It gives me the illusion of a smaller frame and HI, who of us, doesn’t love that?!  3. I love that this dress is right on trend with the black and white trend right now but without being so literal.  4. It’s stylish AND classy; perfect for my professional and personal style.   The long and short of it, it was love at first site when  saw this dress online. I paired it with bold blue nails and pink lips and heels to add a little color boost
