IDDC Contest Winner ~ Styling Session

by Kéla Walker

Today, Kela’s Kloset is Mia’s Kloset.
Last week I Don’t Do Clubs and I teamed up for contest offering one of our readers a kloset konsultation and a styling session (with pieces form your kloset)  with your truly. The goal was to prepare a couple of looks in preparation for the upcoming IDDC NYC Spring Mixer. KONTINUE to see the winner and the outcome….

Mia Hall of Brooklyn NY won the contest.  On saturday I visited her place and we spent a few hours going through her kloset kreating new looks for her from pieces she already owned.  One look at Mia kloset and I could see that she was a uniform shopper – shopping at the same places (Macy’s and Banana Republic) and buying predominately the same thing, in this case professional attire.  She had a lot of suits and dress and pieces she either A. didn’t know how to wear B. Were too big for her C. thought were old and irrelevant.  I helped her take on a new perspective in her wardrobe and figure out how to rework those old pieces and make them new again.  Take a look at the kloset konsultation and some of the looks we created – one of ehich she will wear to the IDDC event.

Which look did you like most, which one do you think Mia should wear to the IDDC Spring Mixer event?
