The first time I wore this matching suit it was winterized layered over a turtle neck and paired with a beanie and  fur bag (seen here). You know I’m a big fan of prints and patterns and even more so with matching suits so I couldn’t wait for the chance to wear it again.  This time however I stripped away the layers and cold weather accessories to simply it.  The tweed fabric of the matching suit t makes it great for days like this as NYers wait for the transition from winter to summer (because Spring is giving no love).

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I covered the red carpet arrivals at the Met Gala – one of the most highly anticipated (fashion) events of the year.  Everyone equates it to the Oscars of fashion but I think thats more appropriate for the CFDA awards but that’s neither here or there. For years the Met Gala has been on my dream press list- a list of events and happenings I want to cover and add to my resume and last year I finally  got to cross it off.  After the event I swore  I would never do it again.  There really is no better way to describe it other than chaos and couture.  Fast Forward to this year and that oxymoron was even more true with the Punk Fashion theme yet when the call came to cover the event for a second time, I couldn’t say no.  I mean, it’s the MET GALA for heaven’s sake.

Happy Monday!!! I’ve already decided this week will be great so what better way to kick if off than with sequins and metallic.  I mean if that combo doesn’t start the off right i don’t know what will. Who doesn’t love a little sequins and metallic in their life much less their wardrobe. Typically I would only wear one or the other but who could resist this sequins and metallic combination.
