VIDEO: The Next Target Designer Collaboration is…
by Kéla Walker
If you can’t wait until the November release of the H&M & Alexander Wang line maybe the latest Target designer collaboration will hold you over. It’s with none other than NYC designer Joseph Altuzarra. His namesake line, Altuzarra, is a luxury women’s ready-to-wear line with dresses that sell for thousands of dollars, having graced the red carpet on ladies like in Lupita Ny’ongo Michelle Dockery, Kate Upton and Rihanna. Three words to describe Altuzarra’s style… Modern. Seductive. Sexy. I LIKE THAT! The Target and Altuzarra collaboration is suppose to be filled with party dresses and lacy details and if they are in line with those adjectives, they are sure to make us swoon.
Continue for a first look at the line and a video on the Target and Altuzarra collection
Here’s a sketch of one of the looks to be included in the Target and Altuzarra collection
This isn’t the Altuzarra’s first collaboration with Target. Last year the designer participated in the Target and Nieman Marcus partnership that featured pieces from 24 different designers. He created the black tray and gold latice tumbler glasses and cocktail shaker.
From the looks of this teaser video the Target and Altuzarra collection could also include shoes, sleepwear and some unique accessories. Just like Target’s last designer collaboration, the Altuzarra one will also be made available internationally, selling online at Net-A-Porter. I don’t know about you but I like what I see. I’m a huge fan of Target designer collaborations. They are easily my favorite- the prices are always manageable, they include fun basics, are available online and in all stores AND if you know when and where to shop you can score a few of the pieces on sale (the suburbs or the LA store in Wear Hollywood). The 50 Piece collection hits stores around NYFW on September 14 and yes, I’ll definitely be doing a fashion haul video on the line before it drops in stores. In the meantime check out my previous Target designer collaboration haul videos, Peter Pilotto, Phillip Lim and Prabal Gurung.
