My Independence Day Style

by Kéla Walker

Happy Fourth of July!!!! This year, I’ll be celebrating my independence in the Big Easy

my independence day style

For a post that suppose to be about 4th of July style, this is a little late (weather condition in NYC killed all my shoot plans)  but it’s still right on time. I love that I’m able to show you my 4th of July style in the place I’m actually spending 4th of July.  While I’m all for the thematic dress code, the red white blue theme of today is just a little too cliche for me. This white and print shift dress keeps me on theme without being too literal. The (deep) red, white and blue are all present but not overly patriotic. Granted, this dress is a little too short for my usual, but it’s perfection for this NOLA heat.  I like the longer length in the back, that’s not too exaggerated but long enough to contrast against the front.  Overall I love how all short, sweet AND simplistic this look is.
